Co-Owner and Captain Tom Yenkner, has been boating all his life. He developed his love for the water, young, on the waters of Long Island Sound. He knew that the sea would be his career path.
Graduating from Maine Maritime Academy in 2005 with a degree in Small Vessel Operations, and a 500 ton mates license. Directly out of school Tom went to work for K-Sea Transportation, a tugboat company. It was there where he got experience on different vessels from 80ft up to 600ft.
Captain Tom spent over 12 years working on tugs and upgrading his license to a 1600 ton Master. With the wealth of boat handling knowledge and love for Charleston He decided in 2015 to do charters around the Charleston Harbor. First with his own boats then with his business partner Captain Dan.
Together they run Charleston Yacht Tours. Their vessel Sweet Tea is always the boat having the most fun on the water.
